This is a 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover) working for an established company known for their prominent residential development projects. This role is seeking a Middle Weight designer that’s keen to take on further responsibility with promising routes for progression available. This opportunity requires a flexible team player, with excellent communication, good AutoCAD skills and a sharp eye for detail. This role would be for someone legally eligible to work in the UKJob Description for this Middleweight Interior Designer Role
  • Create design presentations and work in a fast paced environment
  • Coordinate interior design projects from start to finish with various teams.
  • Handle interior and spatial design tasks, including renovations and furnishings.
  • Collaborate on proposals for show apartments and manage CGI production for brochures.
  • Oversee designs and feasibility studies from concept to completion.
  • Prepare initial drafts for review and approval.
  • Consult with teams on budget, architectural preferences, and design function.
  • Liaise with design teams on space planning, layout, and color coordination.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and technical teams for project success.
  • Estimate costs, manage FF&E inventories, select furnishings, and produce design collateral.
Skills Necessary for this Middleweight Interior Designer Role
  • At least 4 years of industry experience
  • Ability to visualize and articulate design concepts effectively.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with SketchUp, InDesign, and Illustrator is a plus.
  • Team player with flexible approach and excellent communication skills.
  • Effective presentation abilities, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Open to feedback, adaptable, and committed to collaborative 'one team' approach.
  • A degree in Interior Design / Architecture or equivalent
