- Voltijds
- Work in the Platform Efficiency Department, as a Device Engineer.
- Support process integration efforts on the full range of department projects, by helping define, collect, and analyze electrical test data for the project.
- Interpret the results of the electrical test data, and advise on best selection of direction to proceed. Interface with advanced research device team to collaborate and support these programs.
- Projects will be individual items from within the list below, as needed.
- Flow platformization: This activity touches a diverse range of programs, from very advanced CMOS, Si Photonics, 3D integration, and legacy Tech Transfer needs.
- Module Synergy activity: working on modules which are used across several of the programs at IMEC. Insure electrical test data is stable and on target. Advise on possible solutions to improve as needed.
- Legacy technology improvement and tech transfer: Support 28nm and 14nm technology flows at IMEC, to strengthen the performance and stability. Support the utilization of these legacy flows to strengthen the connection between imec and the larger semiconductor industry. Be able to explain and discuss process technology with external customers, respond to questions with concise direct answers. Work to strengthen information needed for technology transfers.
- Work with Integration Engineers and Program management to design and execute performance improvements in the process flows of interest.
- Communicate status and issues to your peers, customers, as well as the management team at imec.
- Leverage industry experience to window and margin test modules, working to establish optimal settings which work across major program families which are inherently dissimilar, and have their own unique needs.
- Implement industry based BKM concepts to help drive fab operational stability.
- Minimum Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other science based field. MS degree preferred.
- 3+ years of industry experience in a production or development environment, required.
- Candidates with only post-doctoral experience will not be considered.
- Direct experience with CMOS transistor operation, ability to interpret electrical test data of N and P mos transistors.
- Advanced node experience (5nm or smaller) is desired. Minimum knowledge of 28nm and smaller technology is required.
- Understanding of process integration impact on transistor performance.
- Understanding of electrical test structures and test structure testing methods.
- Understanding or knowledge of TCAD, and its calibration/correlation with experimental data is beneficial
- You like looking at data, drawing conclusions and proposing relevant follow up actions.
- Ability to draw conclusions from limited data, make suggestions on how to validate assumptions and conclusions.
- You are a good team player but at the same time can work well without supervision.
- You like taking initiative, you are persuasive and assertive, while keeping a constructive attitude.
- You have strong organizational skills and show the flexibility to change between different projects according to changing priorities.
