Due to continuous growth and expansion, Sunlight Group offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to attract a Smart Factory Systems Engineer, who will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) Suites within our manufacturing facilities. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the MES solutions align with the organization's operational goals and objectives, enhancing productivity, efficiency and quality. The position reports directly to the Smart Factory Applications Manager and is based in Xanthi (GRC). Role and Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, process workflows, and system needs to design an effective MES solution. Develop and design MES solutions that align with industry best practices and address the specific needs of the manufacturing plant. Lead the implementation and integration of MES/MOM software and hardware components, ensuring a seamless transition from existing systems. Configure MES/MOM software to meet the unique needs of the manufacturing processes, including data collection, reporting, and workflow automation. Plan and execute comprehensive testing procedures to validate the functionality and performance of the MES/MOM system. Train plant personnel on how to use the MES/MOM system effectively and provide ongoing support and guidance. Identify and resolve technical issues and system errors, ensuring minimal disruption to production. Work with the team to identify opportunities for process optimization and improvement using MES/MOM data and analytics. Maintain detailed documentation of MES/MOM configurations, processes, and system changes. Ensure that the MES/MOM system meets regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the manufacturing industry. Collaborate with MES/MOM software vendors and service providers to address technical issues and updates. Manage MES/MOM implementation projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related technical field. Master's degree is a plus. At least 5 years of experience with MES/MOM as an administrator, business analyst or equivalent. Proficiency in MES/MOM software platforms and related technologies. Demonstrable experience on manufacturing sites, in manufacturing operations or warehouse logistics with presence on the floor. Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations (e.g., ISA-95) is a plus. Excellent use of English language. Excellent Project Management skills.
