We are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a special school catering for boys aged six to twelve with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC).The School:This school firmly believes that with the right environment and support, every child can flourish. The school is dedicated to enabling their pupils to make exceptional progress in all aspects of school life.Role Overview:We are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with drive and creativity to provide support to our dedicated and welcoming team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of the curriculum, removing barriers to learning, improving attainment, and promoting self-confidence and emotional well-being among the pupils.Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students with special educational needs in classroom settings.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized learning plans tailored to each student's requirements.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the development of key skills and independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to deliver engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Support students with personal care and mobility needs as required.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting the well-being and development of all students.
