Job descriptionJob Title: Attendance OfficerLocation: Luton, BedfordshireSalary: CompetitiveContract Type: Full-time, TemporaryStart Date: ASAPJob Description:We are seeking an experienced Attendance Officer to join a Local secondary academy in Luton . The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and improving student attendance, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and statutory policies and procedures, and maintaining accurate records of attendance using SIMS. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and improve student attendance
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and statutory policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance using SIMS
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student attendance
  • Provide regular reports on attendance to senior leadership team
  • Support the development and implementation of attendance policies and procedures
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience using SIMS
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Valid DBS
