Job Description SummaryThis role is responsible for full program management of International Sales Training to include LATAM, EMEA and APAC. To be successful in this roll, the candidate will design, implement, and executes sales training programs for Owens & Minor International sales teams which enhance knowledge and skills to assist sales teammates to reach company targets. In additional to selling skills and development, this role will collaborate with marketing teams to ensures the international sales organization is prepared to engage customers on the features, clinical elements, and financial/operational/strategic aspects of the company’s full product portfolio.Job DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES· Focuses on the design, development, coordination and/or implementation of ongoing sales training programs and curriculum (product and clinical training, business acumen, sales skills, sales process, etc.). Designs new training curricula and develops innovative ways to deliver sales training programs.· Builds field sales and sales leader competence to drive sales effectiveness (clinical competence, technical knowledge, customer understanding, healthcare economic strategies, sales process, etc.).· Collaborates with relevant teams (Marketing, R&D, Sales Management, HR, Distribution, etc.) to develop and deliver internal training courses/programs targeting product training, sales process and consultative selling, sales effectiveness, presentation skills, phone selling skills, etc.· Maintains a thorough understanding of the company’s customers, their needs, and the evolving marketplace to ensure sales teams are effective in selling to and supporting customers with the company’s products.· Partners with Marketing and Sales teams to maintain and improve training (product knowledge, clinical acumen, surgical sales processes, competitive selling skills, etc.).· Adjusts and customizes sales training material and curriculum based on key business areas (Acute, Strategic Markets, international markets, etc.).· Leads the training strategy and roll-out of new products, technology, and processes leveraging the company’s technology solutions (ShowPad, LMS, Salesforce.com).· Deliver training through multiple channels (classroom, e-learning, conferences, regional/national sales meetings).· Must have a valid passport and be willing to travel multiple times a year to places such as LATAM, EMEA or APAC· Performs additional duties as directed.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE· Bachelor’s Degree preferred, preferably in related field (Sales, Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Education)· 5 or more years of relevant experience (sales training, medical device sales/account management/Business-to-Business sales)· 3 or more years of experience supporting development/implementation of sales training programs and/or experience as a field sales trainer· Or any combination of relevant education and experience to meet the above requirementsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES· Extensive knowledge of adult and sustained learning curriculum principles· Deep knowledge of sales activities, principles and processes; ability to identify, implement and analyze sales training needs· Knowledge in medical product sales to hospitals and/or non-acute facilities· Ability to identify and analyze organizational needs and business opportunities.· Demonstrated ability to design, build and implement learning programs· Ability to gather requirements and build and/or facilitate the building of content for training courses· Ability to effectively work with senior levels of Company leadership· Ability to manage relationships and direct the work of vendors· Ability to demonstrate leadership presence and gain the trust of field partners· Effective verbal and written communication skills to influence decision makers· Superior presentation and facilitation skills· Effective persuasion and negotiation skills· Ability to work independently and as part of a team· Proficiency with office productivity software and learning tools (i.e. ShowPad, Video, Webinars, Coaching Tools).If you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.
