Contract/ Outside IR35
Location: North Yorkshire (Site based)Construction PlannerOur client, an international Mining company is looking for a Construction Planner to join a major UK mining project. This will be a long-term contract working on site in Yorkshire, UK.Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project schedules (level 1-4) using WBS coding and logic in Primavera P6
- Build and maintain project schedules (level 5) using Microsoft Project
- Integrate schedules from contractors when required
- Establish and agree the baseline resourced schedule to establish site staffing profiles, including multiple shift patterns.
- Work with construction teams and contractors to provide construction sequencing to reduce any constraints
- Work with engineering and procurement teams to ensure the construction schedule will not be impacted by design changes, long lead items etc
- Update schedules with actual progress and review against the baseline to highlight variances to the project team.
- Timely reporting of critical paths and impact of delays, risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure the project remains on schedule.
- Collaborate with Project Management, Lead Engineers to discuss schedules and act as an advisor to the team regarding planning.
- Provide input into the daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and updates to stakeholders, highlighting achievements and addressing potential planning concerns.
- Strong user of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and Excel, as well as Schedule Risk Software such as Monte Carlo or Acumen Fuse.
- 5 - 15 Years relevant experience
- The ideal candidate will be a team player, strong communicator with a background of working in fast paced evolving projects, and a multi-national workforce.
