Finance Officer – South LondonDay Rate: £150 - £180Contract: Initial 6-month contract with a view to being extendedWork Schedule: Full time, Monday – Friday.Full time contract - Remote working ideally one day a week in officeA Local Authority in South London looking to recruit a Finance Officer are working with Spencer Clarke Group to fill the position.Role Brief:This role is to support the relevant Group Manager/Accountant in the provision of a value adding, customer focused business support and relationship management service to relevant budget holders and Heads of Service to ensure their financial needs are met.Key Responsibilities:

Develop effective, proactive and valued business support relationships with relevant budget holders that assists the directorates/divisions/areas in achieving their outcomes whilst driving financial improvements.

Supporting the delivery of sound financial planning, management, closure of account, project support & advice, management accounting, reporting, statutory/statistical returns (including returns to government departments and tax returns), and coordination of financial arrangements for a given division/area across both revenue, capital (as appropriate).
