- Accept and process incidents that are assigned to DB2 LUW support team within the SLA
- Escalate Incidents to appropriate teams.
- Monitor daily backups for DB2
- Provide support during storage addition and migrations
- Maintain archive logs and cleanup as per policy.
- Basic performance tuning.
- Diagnoses application or database contention issues
- Run application snapshot when needed by SAP for diagnoses
- Manage HADR and TSA issues
- Idle session monitoring
- HADR takeovers
- Restart database and Instances
- Work with Basis team to verify connectivity
- Start / Stop / Move Virtual IP address
- Start / Stop TSA domain
- Turn off or On Monitoring for Specific databases
- Recovery and support in DR test
- Creating Table spaces for Lower environment server if application team is not able to perform during their upgrade process.
- Raising request to add space in data file system.
- Deleting trigger for Lower environment server if application team is not able to perform during their upgrade process.
- Required 5 8 years of experience supporting DB2 on RHEL including stand-along and HADR configurations.
- Demonstrated ability to grasp and communicate complex system integrations
- Demonstrated ability to work on projects in a technical environment.
- Seasoned technology person for DB2.
- Kind of tech lead in the team.
- Point of contact for any escalations.
- Familiarity with Linux (some exp) preference is most recent experience.
- Experience working in a large environment or on customer-facing applications
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience working with ERP systems, SAP preferred
- Experience with Cloud, AWS preferred
- Experience in ODBC connections
- Bachelors Degree in information systems or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical skills
