Visit to learn how our diverse and innovative team is helping connect, protect and power our planet.Job Listing DetailSUMMARY:The Test Engineer focuses on knowledge sharing with our internal customers and partners to ensure technical team growth and continuous improvement of standard processes. This role also provides PTE team support to meet goals of internal issue resolution and guidance for external escalations.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinates new product handoffs to ensure standards are met
  • Reviews product test specifications and applicable test equipment requirements
  • Ensures required hardware is available for product testing, in conjunction with handoffs
  • Provides support and advisement for PTE technicians during internal issue troubleshooting and resolution
  • Provides support and advisement for PTE technicians during repair of equipment and hardware
  • Gathers and shares knowledge regarding test software and hardware established by the product and global test engineering teams
  • Coordinates and supports experimental testing and special projects to meet the needs of our internal test engineering teams and our external customers
  • Acts as a liaison during external escalations to help ensure team growth and continue to foster relationships with our internal test engineering teams
  • Focuses on Continuous Improvement Through Support of LOE Escalation Projects and Development of Other Lean Practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BSEE degree required or equivalent course of study in an accredited college or university.
  • Solid analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills, self-starter, and team player
  • Understanding of RF principles and existing Wireless 3G/4G standards (WCDMA, LTE, HSPA, etc.) and emerging 5G standards is highly desirable
  • Experience with the RF components commonly used (RF amplifiers, mixers, attenuators, filters, couplers, isolators, VCOs, Synthesizers) is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with semiconductor devices is desirable
  • Proficiency in high-level programming languages (C++, C#, VB, .NET) is desirable
