- Oversight and execution of sample collection of various media (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, soil vapour, etc.) as part of environmental site investigations, design work packages, and confirmation of remediation programs.
- Oversight of contractors.
- Monitoring and maintenance of remediation systems.
- General field inspection and field survey.
- Construction / remediation construction field services oversight.
- Safety tailgate meetings and hazard assessments.
- Project Management and project coordination, including client liaison
- Direction and oversight of junior staff
- Preparation of safety plans and hazards assessments
- Data evaluation against provincial and federal environmental requirements
- Support of engineering calculations and design.
- Preparation of deliverables including reports, engineering specifications, and associated drawings.
- 4+ years of experience including any co-operative education experience in environmental consulting, industry, or regulatory environment versed in contaminated site investigation, remediation, and/or waste management.
- Registered or eligible for registry with EGBC or similar Canadian association
- Engineering degree in a relevant technical discipline, including but not limited to environmental, civil, mining, hydrogeological, and geological study areas.
- A valid Driver’s license.
- Ability to travel for field work within the province.
- 6+ years of experience including any co-operative education experience in environmental consulting, industry, or regulatory environment versed in contaminated site investigation, remediation, and/or waste management
- Registered as a Professional Engineer with EGBC.
- Prior field sampling or site investigation experience
- BC based and/or federal client work experience
- Engineering design experience under the supervision of professional engineer, including preparation of specification packages.
- Skills and abilities:
- Solid written and spoken communication skills, including using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and preparing technical reports
