- Ship orders accurately and on time, putting priority on Lectra Service Request orders.
- Follow specific instructions regarding shipping requirements, tracking notifications and carrier account usage as submitted through order process.
- Communicate order and shipment acknowledgements in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare customer shipments which can include packaging, weighing, palletizing, using company provided equipment, scheduling carrier appointments, preparing shipping documents (domestic and international) and related tasks.
- Move larger items and freight using forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Maintain warehouse shipping areas in a safe, clean and ordered state
- Regularly follow up on backorders and communicate status to relevant operational teams and customers
- Work with internal teams as necessary to ensure clear communication on all orders
- Receive in spare parts and consumables inventory correctly and on-time
- Generate Lectra internal orders for critical parts as needed.
- Prepare for and participate in scheduled warehouse physical inventory count activities
- Properly handle client returns and prepare inventory to be returned to headquarters
- Provide logistics support and preparations for trade shows and other events as required
- Place purchase orders with external suppliers and process drop-shipments to end customers per department procedures
- Correspond with customers to quote parts and respond to inquiries
- Enter customer orders in Sales Force and Oracle
- Other assignments as determined by the Manager
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and consistency
- Knowledge of warehousing and supply chain logistics best practices.
- 2 years minimum experience driving a sit-down forklift
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel, are a large asset
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
- Understanding of dangerous goods regulations - IATA or 49CFR training is a plus
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two to four years of warehouse experience and customer service or order entry experience
- Experience using Fed Ex or UPS shipping software
- Purchasing or supply chain planning experience a plus
- Experience with Oracle or SAP a plus
- Experience generating way-bills on line for any carrier is a plus
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment, some of which will routinely be heavier weight (50+ pounds). For heavy weights, team lifts with another team-member may be required.
