We are proud to be working with a forward thinking centre of learning, recognised for the high standards of our teaching and support, as well as their enviable industry connections. they provide a vibrant and professional learning environment for over 2000 further and higher education students studying for careers in the creative industries.We’re looking for a passionate individual to join the Student Services team as a Senior EHCP Practitioner within FE.Reporting to the Access and Inclusion Manager this role provides day-to-day line management for a team of EHCP practitioners, ensuring quality and effective support interventions for students with EHCPs (Education Health and Care Plans) in line with the SEND Code of Practice.Responsible for improving student retention and achievement by ensuring that the additional needs of students do not become a barrier to success and leading a team to meet best practice standards. Advocate for students with EHCPs and, as required, their parents and carers and assess the support needs of all prospective students with EHCPs as part of the consultation process.Duties and resposnibilities:
  • Provide day to day line management for a team of EHCP practitioners,

Knowledge, qualifications and experience:
  • Experience of providing support in education (preferably post-16)
  • Experience of supporting students with additional needs
  • Minimum C grade GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and maths
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting students with a range of disabilities.
  • Leadership Experience
  • An appropriate teaching qualification. (or be working towards one), e.g. AET. (desirable)
The successful candidate will be flexible and adaptable within their role.
