Application Deadline: 06/06/2024Address: 320 S Canal StreetJob Family Group: Audit, Risk & ComplianceThe U.S. Compliance Program Management Team (CPM) is a central compliance governance function that establishes, implements, and administers frameworks that support the Compliance function. The responsibilities of the Senior Compliance Officer position will include identification of risk and taking appropriate actions to mitigate risk, identifying and implementing enhancement opportunities, undertaking activities in support of the Compliance program, including but not limited to: support of risk assessments, monitoring and testing, issues management, and implementation of new/revised policies and programs. Additional specifics are noted below:Participate in the design, implementation, and management of the compliance governance program.Analyze and report on compliance data and related data to gain regulatory risk insights.Develop and maintain guidelines, procedures, job aids, training, etc.Identify and implement process enhancements; provide training to stakeholders.Represent the Compliance Program team and interact with examiners/auditors during internal, external and regulatory audits and examinations.Build effective professional relationships with internal/external stakeholders and trust with regulators.Operate effectively within a high stress environment with constantly changing expectations and regulatory & audit scrutiny.Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.Work independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.Qualifications:Typically minimum of 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Recognized compliance certificate or equivalent preferred.Strong communication, critical thinking, relationship management and project management skills.Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.Collaboration & team skills - In-depth.Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth.Influence skills - In-depth.Data driven decision making - In-depth.Compensation and Benefits:$79,800.00 - $148,000.00Pay Type: SalariedThe above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
