- Handle the planning of event enquiries, (including corporate, leisure, group and social bookings), quoting hotel rate information, planning of all details in conjunction with the event and liaising with 3rd party suppliers where required.
- Strategically look at potential business opportunities and proactively engage in securing new business
- To send contracts to the client on receiving confirmation of a booking, along with the company terms & conditions
- To communicate effectively with the Event Planning team to ensure a seamless handover and experience for the customer.
- Conduct site inspections and meet with clients to discuss their requirements (entertaining of clients may be required in the evenings and weekends).
- Accountable to act in a professional and informative manner ensuring product and competitor knowledge is current at all times, ensuring good working relationships with key customers.
- Providing guidance and leadership to the Group & Event Sales team with regards to selling, account management and training
- To work with an entrepreneurial mind-set, strategically looking at potential business opportunities.
- Regularly monitors and reviews all prospect, tentative and lost business enquires with the aim of driving increased conversion levels.
- Reviews and improves team performance through identifying training needs, mentoring and coaching
