- You will work as part of a team to support and develop the design and manufacture of control electronics and software for superconducting magnets.
- You will work independently on projects to improve current designs and processes.
- You will conduct design work, experiments, analyse results and report on conclusions, both in written reports and verbally in meetings.
- You will support production on the factory floor and the customer support team.
- You will study towards a Level 6 Degree qualification with an approved Apprenticeship provider alongside your role.
- You will have an interest in electronics and software either though school or hobby activities including such activities as Arduino, Lego Mindstorm, building electronics projects or software programming.
- You will have an awareness of, and interest in, the electronics and software design function within an engineering organisation.
- You will possess technical analysis and problem-solving skills.
- You will have an interest in "making things" and "how things work".
- You will possess good communication skills and a desire to work as part of a team to help solve problems and implement effective solutions.
- You will have (or be working towards) a minimum of two A-Levels at grade 6 (B) or above, including a mathematical-based subject and a science, technology, engineering or an additional mathematics-related subject – or an equivalent Level 3 Engineering BTEC/EAL Diploma at Distinction (Merit) Level or above.
