The International Business Manager will be responsible for facilitating daily business operations of the company's international business activities, participating in the development and execution of international business strategies, including market analysis, market development, customer acquisition and retention, and value chain development. International travel will be required to support the company's international subsidiaries, partners, and customers, as well as some domestic travel.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development and execution of international business strategies:
o Develop strategic plans and initiatives to expand the company's footprint in targeted regions.o Identify and evaluate market opportunities, potential clients, and emerging trends in international markets.o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of international business objectives with overall company goals.
  • Market expansion and business development:
o Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand market potential, strategies for entry, barriers to entry, and competitive landscapes.o Participate in business development efforts, including business strategy and oversight, market and operational strategies, and value chain development.
  • Manage international sales and operations:
o Assist with the development and execution of effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.o Support international sales teams, partners, and distributors.o Oversee international operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, logistics, and supply chain management.o Work with the corporate marketing team and international business unit teams to assist with the planning of and manage international marketing campaigns, press releases, and tradeshows.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape:
o Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics in international markets.o Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to identify areas for improvement and maintain a competitive edge.o Provide regular reports and updates on market intelligence, sales performance, and business development activities to senior management
  • Up to 30% travel outside of the CONUS is required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, or Marketing.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, business management, or international operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a collaborative and results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to develop, follow, and manage business processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative.
  • Ability to be effective while working independently and/or remotely.
  • Experience with international travel in a work capacity is a plus.
  • International and domestic travel up to 40%.
Working ConditionsMost work will be conducted in an office setting when in the CONUS. However, working conditions in other countries will be dependent on our partners and their locations.Physical RequirementsEmployees should be in good health and physically fit to withstand the demands of long flights and potential time zone changes. They should be able to sit for extended periods and move around the aircraft as necessary. Good vision and hearing are essential for communication, navigation, and situational awareness. Employees should have sufficient mobility to navigate through airports, board and disembark aircraft, and handle luggage or equipment. This includes the ability to climb stairs, walk long distances, and maneuver in confined spaces. International travel can be physically and mentally taxing due to factors like jet lag, irregular schedules, and dealing with various cultures and languages. Employees should demonstrate resilience and adaptability to cope with these stressors effectively. Employees may be required to communicate with passengers, crew members, and airport personnel in English or other languages commonly used in international aviation.
