As a Medical Assistant, you will be a part of the Clinical Care Team engaging with our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The Medical Assistant role makes a difference in the patient care we offer and assists physicians and other clinicians by providing a unique blend of skills and knowledge to carry out prescribed medical treatment. Medical Assistants are multiskilled health professionals responsible for performing administrative and clinical tasks in our primary care facilities while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining positive patient engagement.Location: CenterWell Senior Primary Care Rosemont office address: 5554 Clarcona Ocoee Road; Orlando, FL 32818The House Calls Medical Assistant supports a team of APRN's that visit our most vulnerable patients in their homes. This position is based in the clinical office of CenterWell Rosemont. The Medical Assistant performs clinical duties such as discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system. Collaborates closely with providers and administrative assistants. Decisions are typically focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation.Use your skills to make an impactAdditional InformationRequired Qualifications
- Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a Medical Assisting program
- Current CPR certification
- An active Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or Registered Medical Assistant/RMA certification from one of the following organizations: AAMA, AMT, ARMA, MedCa, NAHP, NAHT, NCCT, NHA or AAH
- 1 or more years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care
- Experience with HEDIS and ICD/CPT coding
- Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Experience in a fast paced/high volume environment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
