Edelman, now hiring:Finance DirectorBasic Qualifications:The Finance Director must possess analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. S/he must possess knowledge of financial systems, and at least ten years' experience in Finance and Accounting. Prior experience in administration, operations and office services needed as well. Professional level of English is a must.Qualifications:The Finance Director will assist in the supervision of the finance team to provide and maintain a high standard of service to clients, which includes directing programs, providing strategic counseling, growing the existing accounts, and developing new business. The Finance Director must be well organized with excellent written, oral, problem solving, and analytical and interpersonal communication skills. S/he must possess strong time management skills, with attention to detail, following through on projects and handling multiple tasks. The Finance Director must also take initiative, juggle conflicting priorities and function well in a fast paced environment.Responsibilities:Client Servicing-Ensure the production of accurate, timely and useful financial reports to owners, team and agency.-Provide client leads with financial guidance.-Recommend corrective financial actions where needed.-Participate on client teams, acting as business advisors to top management.-Coordinate and lead senior management finance presentation.-Assist client leads in negotiating contracts and project projection authorization, including direct contact with clients.-Ensure profitability of client projects.-Strategic guidance and maintenance of pricing models.-Compile and analyze utilization reports; communicate over/under servicing to account managers.-Maintain project codes, oversee client billing and invoicing by liaising between clients, account staff and corporate finance.Business Development-Participate in new business processes by identifying and developing opportunities and providing strategic counsel to clients and internal practice team members.Financial Management and Planning.-Monitor and enforce existing policies and procedures.-Perform data analysis to assist senior management with ideas on how to maximize profits.-Engage in more critical and confidential aspects of finance.-Oversee aspects of year-end audit and ensure that all reporting is in accordance with GAAP standards.-Liaison with Corporate attorneys on contractual, collection and litigation matters.-Responsible for the development of systems and special financial studies.-Duties require broad conceptual judgment, initiative, and ability to deal with complex financial issues.-Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.-Manage office P & L.-Prepare financial documents (POs, budgets, billing worksheets) accurately and on time.-Work with senior staff to improve profitability.-Manage fiscal year planning, maintenance, and forecasting.-Supervise business managers as applicable.-Verify and enforce that all employees are entering time sheets.Product & Capability Development.-Keep abreast of the latest finance technology to increase the efficiency of the company's financial operations.-Develop and coordinate new financial policies, procedures, and processes.People Development.-Direct supervision of supervisors, coordinators and other junior level staff.-Assist in recruiting, interviewing and selecting Edelman personnel.-Contribute to performance appraisal process for peers and managers.-Build a working relationship and communication with staff as well as provide the appropriate support.-Engage in team building activities.Leadership.-Live the Edelman values (quality, integrity, respect, entrepreneurial spirit, mutual benefits).-Demonstrate professional behavior and pursuit of excellence in all endeavors.-Share knowledge of Edelman systems and processes with office staff via formal and informal training sessions.-Comply with all company Policies and Procedures.-Participate in continuing education classes (Edelman U: 24 credits per fiscal year).Apply Now! \n\nEdelman is a global communications firm that partners with businesses and organizations to evolve, promote and protect their brands and reputations.
