Position Summary... Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices. What you'll do... About Team: You will be part of Enterprise Business Services team, which is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Indirect Procurement Solution and Spend Analytics. We also deliver a host of functions including sourcing and expense management, procure to pay and analytics. From building chatbots to designing invoicing solutions and facilitating region specific compliance and legal regulations, we help drive efficiency and flexibility across every part of Walmart's global presence. What you'll do: Involve in design, development, support and documentation of existing or new capabilities. Build, test and deploy solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart worldwide. Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community. Be involved in the successful implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives. Work closely with the Tech Leads/Architects and cross functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery) within the established architectural guidelines. Participate in hiring and support to build teams. Interact closely for requirements with Business owners and technical teams both within India and across the globe. What you'll bring: 3-6 years of experience in design, development, support & migration of mainframe applications in product-based companies or R&D divisions. Development Experience in other technologies such as Python or any front End/Backend technology or Data Engineering. Application development using COBOL in the ZOS environment. Optimizing Syntaxes to maximize performance of COBOL statements. Experience with Computations, Constructions and File handling. Interfacing techniques with DB2/IMS and related querying mechanisms. Understanding of ZOS operating system and its architecture. Familiarity working with all filesystems: GDGs, VSAMs, PDS, PS etc. Understanding of various uses of jobcards and their parameters Experience in writing catalogued and Instream procedures. Applying step and proc overrides. Experience in using of # Cards to manipulate scheduling parameters.
