Our client is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer to join their team in Cork. Our client is one of Irelands leading consultancies working across commercial, educational, residential, transport and infrastructure projects.The successful candidate will join a highly experienced team and work across a range of projects in the public and private sector projects. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, and execution of structural projects. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of structural engineering, from conceptual design to on-site oversight.Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the team to design and develop structural solutions for diverse projects.
  • Prepare and review structural analysis and design calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Assist in the creation of drawings for both conceptual and detailed designs.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure construction aligns with design specifications and standards.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the fundamentals of structural analysis and design, with a strong familiarity with Eurocodes.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified - Structural Engineering Degree (Honours).
  • 2-5 years relevant post-graduate experience.
  • A strong analytical knowledge and understanding of engineering principals.
  • Demonstrable buildings-focused structural engineering design skills.
  • A desire to work constructively in a team, finding holistic building design solutions in a multidiscipline environment.
  • IT skills and experience in the use of MS Office. Experience in CAD and structural analysis software is an added advantage.
  • The ability to communicate clearly, through sketching, speaking and in writing.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance tasks and prioritise to meet strict deadlines.
  • Full driving licence an advantage.
