- Develop comprehensive sales strategies and action plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize hotel occupancy
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify target market segments, customer needs, and competitive positioning
- Collaborate with the revenue management team to align sales strategies with pricing and inventory management goals
- Recruit, train, and supervise the sales team, including sales managers, account executives, and sales coordinators
- Set clear sales targets, performance metrics, and KPIs for the sales team and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure performance goals are met
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer service excellence within the sales department
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, group bookings, and leisure travelers
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, travel agents, event planners, and other industry partners
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the hotel's brand and generate leads
- Develop sales collateral, presentations, and promotional materials to support the sales team's efforts and effectively communicate the hotel's value proposition to clients
- Work closely with the marketing department to develop integrated marketing and sales campaigns to drive demand and increase brand awareness
- Leverage digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and online advertising, to reach target audiences and generate leads
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline activity, and conversion rates to track progress against sales targets and identify areas for improvement
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and analyses for senior management to evaluate sales performance and make data-driven decisions
- Conduct post-event evaluations and debriefs to assess the effectiveness of sales and marketing initiatives and identify lessons learned
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Advanced degree or certification in Sales Management is a plus
- Proven experience in sales leadership roles within the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel or resort environment
- Strong knowledge of sales techniques, negotiation strategies, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop innovative sales strategies and adapt to changing market dynamics
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Leadership abilities with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing a high-performing sales team
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
