Position OverviewThe Assistant Spa Manager oversees all spa operations and assists with monitoring and record keeping of spa sales, costs, and profits; participates in and promotes marketing activities; communicates regularly and efficiently with management on all operational aspects.The RoleA. Deliver Service Excellence1. Oversee spa reception, reservations, retail and back of house areas2. Deal with dissatisfied or disgruntled guests3. Verify completeness and accuracy of financial report at the end of shiftB. Deliver Operation Excellence1. Ensure therapists are booked and treatment rooms are used to the maximum potential2. Follow up on spa packages, special requests and VIPs3. Strive to meet all Spa KPIsC. Manage Self and Team1. Organize and conduct monthly trainings for spa staff2. Ensure Forbes standards are practiced at all times3. Deal with disciplinary issues of spa staff4. Assist with the recruitment and selection process of spa staff5. Liaise with Director of Spa and Wellness on retail initiatives and incentivesTalent Profile1. Minimum 3 years experience in similar capacity2. Self-starter and self-motivator with technical aptitude2. Awareness and sensitivity to the concept of luxury and quality3. Knowledge of spa operations, current trends and holistic concepts that relate to wellbeing4. Knowledge of specific spa industry applications is desirable5. Commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures in relation to the spa
