You will receive broad-based training covering many aspects of Aerospace Manufacture, specialising as a craft apprentice. You can become a Skilled Fitter / Welder.Qualifications Required:Essential – 5 GCSEs at 9 – 4 / A* - C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.Vacancy Full Description:We are seeking to employ and train 1 craft apprentices.You will receive broad-based training covering many aspects of Aerospace Manufacture, specialising as either a craft apprentice. Following your apprenticeship, your first appointment will be one of the following roles:Skilled Fitter or skilled WelderWhen onsite apprentices will work alongside trained staff to enhance their skills, putting into practise what they have learnt at the College.This can range from:Shadowing skilled fitters / welders and manufacturing engineersFittingWeldingPerformance acceptance testingContinuous improvements activitiesUsing:Joining Techniques - Vacuum Brazing, Welding capabilityHeat Treatment and Chemical Processing capabilityComponents produced from a variety of different materialsApprentices will be required to comply with all ethical, environmental and safety regulations.
