Data Engineer

• Ensuring Data is ingested, cleansed, enriched, and made available centrally.
• Creation and utilisation of reusable frameworks that can applied to ingest data from disparate data sources.
• Developing and implementing sustainable data pipelines including logging and alerts, to ensure data quality.
• Supporting data integrations services for data analytics and between operational systems (CRM, SAP etc).
• Documenting source-to-target mappings.
• Identifying inefficient data processes and engineer solutions to create operational efficiencies.
• Creating accessible data models that will support the analytics business functions.

• Relevant experience in data engineering roles at other organisations, with hotels/hospitality advantageous.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services, including understanding their capabilities and limitations and being able to design and deliver solutions leveraging various Azure platform services (Data Factory, Synapse, PySpark, Logic Apps)
• Exposure to financial systems data (i.e. SAP, Budgeting & forecasting).
• Experience building pipelines from and working with CRM solutions.
• Able to optimise data feeds and models to ensure production dashboards run quickly, efficiently, and reliably.
• Advanced working knowledge and experience with relational databases and query authoring (SQL)
• Experience in data modelling and data warehousing.
• Experience taking business requirements and turning them into solution designs.
• Strong software engineering skills related to working with a range of datasets.
• Broad knowledge of design and implementation of build, release, deployment and configuration activities (Git, CI/CD, DevOps).
• Experience with Visualisation tools such as PowerBI/Tableau (Desirable)
