Formal Education / Training:
1. RN Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
2. Graduate of an approved school of nursing
3. Five years of hospital nursing experience
4. Bachelor's Degree preferredWorkplace Experience:

The ability to work well under pressure, to function dependently and independently and to be flexible in applying basic nursing knowledge to a variety of setting. Network computer system,Physical Environment:
InterdepartmentalPhysical Effort:
1. Requires the ability to communicate in English orally and in writing.
2. Requires prolonged standing, sitting, bending, and walking for up to eight hours a day.Key Results:
Coordinates activities of Risk Management of WMC.
Collects, tracks, and trends data to include such things as incident reports, patient grievances, claims, and other safety and quality management activities.
Identifies areas of actual or potential risk for patients, employees, physicians, and other customers
Plans and implements process improvement program within the organization to minimize loss exposures and improve safety.
Serves as Safety Officer for WMC and oversees Environment of Care Committee
Coordinates Patient Grievance process as outlined by policy to meet CMS requirements.
Coordinates activities related to the medical malpractice insurance process such as application process, proof of insurance, and reporting.
Reports occurrences as deemed required to regulatory agencies such as CMS and UIRS.
Reports monitors, findings, & process improvement activities to appropriate committees
Provides education and serves as a resource for medical staff, administration, and hospital staff, regarding risk management, safety, and process improvement.
Interacts professionally and communicates clearly with administrative team, department leaders, and medical staff
Assists with Accreditation readiness within the organization.
