DAFF is recruiting for several Policy/Project/Program Officer roles at the APS6 classification across various branches and divisions, duties will consist of some or all of the following:
- Developing and administering well-researched policy within tight timeframes.
- Contributing to the design, development, implementation and monitoring of policy and program interventions.
- Preparing draft reports, briefing papers, speeches, Ministerial correspondence, and discussion papers for review by executive level employees.
- Resolve moderately complex enquiries from internal and external stakeholders and provide information and advice on behalf of the section.
- Providing significant and detailed reports on program specific issues.
- Project management, including adherence with associated governance conditions.
- Interpreting legislation and identifying issues associated with existing policies and proposed policy options.
Knowledge and experience
You will possess experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Policy development
- Program/project development and implementation
- Secretariat support, and/or
- A similar role.
