- Visit customers and prospects in the field (estimated 90% of your time will be out in the field visiting customers, 10% in the store to showcase equipment)
- Identify new potential customers to sell compact construction equipment, following various potential lead channels including social media, leads lists
- Work leads provided to you through company website and social media
- Input sales data into the Dealer Path CRM system to track ongoing customer leads and documentation
- Use the John Deere software platform to generate sales quotes
- Meet sales metrics and KPIs
- Maintain current product knowledge of all equipment, parts, and services available to customer accounts.
- Maintain current knowledge of financing and risk management options to assist customer accounts with securing the purchase of a solution.
- Maintain and communicate current knowledge of customer account operational requirements, both agronomic / turf industry and / or business goals.
- Prior experience in a agriculture equipment sales role, ideally with compact agriculture equipment (ie: Row Crop Tractors, Compact Tractors, Utility Tractors, etc.)
- You enjoy meeting with customers and getting out in the field / being on the road
- Ability to travel – you will be out in the field visiting potential customers
- Ability to enter and update customer data into CRM system
- Winning mindset and motivation to sell and close deals / growth mindset
- Prior experience and/or knowledge of John Deere products or in working at a tractor dealership selling compact agriculture/construction equipment
