Organizational skills, kindness and patience in working with special needs children, composure under the pressure of multiple simultaneous tasks, public relations skills for communicating with students and parents, collaborative skills for working effectively with colleagues.The primary function of a para educator is to provide assistance to special education students.The para educator will assist in the implementation of the Individual Education Plan and will work with students.Must have an Associates Degree, or a minimum of 32 education credits or ability to pass the ParaPro test.
