Pastoral Support Worker(Full time, Temporary to permanent)Doncaster£415 - £450 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)Start date: 15th April 2024The School and RoleAn 'Excellent', rated by a recent Ofsted report, specialist SEND provision in Doncaster are looking to appoint a Pastoral Support Worker to work full time. This role will involve you working with young individuals who have server learning difficulties and autism. You will assist with delivery of teaching and learning as well as working within classes on a one to one as well as small group basis. You will also support and guide young people with specialist communication needs including deafness, autism and learning disabilities. This role can be very rewarding for those who want to make a difference for vulnerable individuals’ lives.RequirementsThe desired Pastoral Support Worker will have:
  • Experience of working with primary or secondary school aged children.
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
  • A passion for the progress of SEND primary and secondary school pupils.
  • An ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience working in the care sector is desired.
  • Being able to work with those who display challenging behaviour.
  • Specialism in Deaf Awareness – desirable
