The OpportunityConsor is currently seeking a motivated Senior Engineer to act as Group Manager to our growing water/wastewater infrastructure practice in Colorado. You will engage in the growth of our Colorado practice, and advance your career as a business leader in the region. You will lead the design of Water/Wastewater collection & distribution projects, manage and mentor design staff, and coordinate with multiple disciplinary teams on a variety of projects.Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000 per yearEssential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Mentor and guide mid- to junior-level staff
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams in planning, design, and construction for all sizes of water and wastewater utility conveyance, collection, distribution, storage, and site development projects
  • Develop new relationships to expand our client base and strengthen relationships through a commitment to quality and service
  • Participate in the development of identifying and winning opportunities by working directly with clients, marketers, business developers, and delivery teams
  • Gather information, develop and evaluate alternatives, and prepare engineering reports
Required Credentials
  • 10 - 20 years relevant civil engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience on multi-disciplinary water and wastewater projects including management of subconsultants
  • Experience managing municipal and public sector projects (state, county, city and federal)
  • Ability to lead, train, motivate, and work within a team
  • Ability to develop productive, long-term relationships and communicate with clients, peers, multi-discipline teams, and management
  • A reputation of integrity, intelligence, and the ability to exercise good judgment

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills - you clearly convey subtleties in complex designs to your team, client, and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success working on multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Motivation and the ability to work independently with multiple priorities
