MBDA is seeking a skilled and experienced Building Services Engineer. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.The opportunity:Coming from a strong MEP design background, you will assume ownership of the suite of MBDA Building Design Guides; reviewing and updating them periodically.Engage with domain experts to incorporate standardised engineering solutions into project conceptionReview and assess proposed deviations from the design guidesPrepare estate major maintenance and lifecycle plan budgetsAdvise on the condition of the MBDA estate and conduct ongoing detailed assessments of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing servicesWork with FM site operations managers to prioritise works based on business objectives and building conditionsLead the transition towards a proactive approach to asset management in line with ISO55001 principlesRepresent the FM Operations team as the ultimate recipient of any new installationsWhat we're looking for from you:Proven experience in the field of Building Services Engineering; in particular Mechanical Engineering and the design and specification of Mechanical installations.Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsExperience in the preparation of scope of works and performance specifications for planned maintenance and Capital works packages.Knowledge of asset management principles, such as ISO550001.Ability to efficiently implement standardised engineering solutionsFamiliarity with the assessment and implementation of energy-efficient solutions.Ability to act as a Senior Authorising Person with responsibility for the Mechanical Safety Rules.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and collaboration abilitiesCEng and Member of CIBSE would be desirable, but not critical.Interested?
