- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
- Flight Test Instrumentation design and operation
- Data Acquisition System (DAS) Architecture
- Digital Signal Processing
- CAD tools, such as, CATIA V5, SolidWorks
- Aircraft avionic systems and mechanical systems instrumentation design
- Experience with transducer / sensor selection and installation for instrumentation systems (strain gages, accelerometers, fiber optics, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of common communication busses, e.g. MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, Ethernet, etc.
- Experience with a fast-paced and rapidly changing flight test environment
- Experience with Flight Line operations
- Data Processing Design and Operations
- Firmware/Software Development
- Programming including experience with C/C++, MATLAB, VBA
- Analog-to-digital converters
- Teletronics (TTC) / Curtis-Wright signal conditioning and data encoders
- Zodiac / Safran digital data recorders
- Telemetry
- Cyber Security
- Airworthiness
- Advanced Development Programs (ADP)
- Secret DoD clearance (or higher) with ability to obtain a TS
- Corrective Action and Problem-Solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office
