The role will serve as a CAD & Document Control Specialist and will be responsible for ensuring the drawings & engineering document repository is up to date. The specialist will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical expertise in drawing and engineering document readiness of the site. The specialist shall ensure adherence to standards and good engineering and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) practicesKey Responsibilities:Operational Excellence, continuous improvement of drawings & document repository:Create or/and update as-built drawings using CAD softwareManage the drawing and document control system, including the review, approval, distribution, retrieval, and archiving of drawings and documents in Amgen's repositoryEnsure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and procedures for drawings and engineering documentsReview and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and qualityManage multiple projects drawings and document with multiple deadlines; ensuring orderly and completeness CAD files for all assigned projectsProvide training and guidance to other staff on drawing and document management best practicesMaintain and organize drawing files and documents in repositoryLead activities associated with utilization for space planning as requiredSite inspections as required to ensure drawing are accurateAdministration of CAD database and master drawings for all disciplines including but not limited to as built updatesProficient presentation and facilitation skillsExperience with MS Project, Excel and SharePointSound analytical and presentation skillsAny other tasks as assignedProject & Stakeholder Management:Liaises and manage external partner such as A/E companies, construction management companies, vendors and contactors of drawings during the project lifecycleCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of drawings and documents; resolve drawing and document issuesForms strong relationships and works collaboratively across functional teams & networkBasic Qualifications:Degree in Engineering or related field and/orMinimum of 3 years of experience in CAD design, drafting and document controlGood interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast paced / dynamic work environment yet independently and collaboratively in a team environmentPreferred Qualifications:Certification in AutoCAD software and Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge of engineering and architectural principles, codes, and standardsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationAttention to detail, accuracy, and qualityPleasant personality, Positive and Can-Do AttitudeExcellent planning and organization skillFluency in communications skills, both oral and written, including presentation skillsFamiliar with documentation in a highly regulated environmentInterpersonal and facilitation skills necessary to forge consensus among competing client interests while ensuring objectives are met
