About the RoleWe’re in the process of implementing big plans for Liverpool. It’s a real journey of improvement, and one that will give you the chance to lead the modernisation of our Highways & Transport asset service and build on how we maintain highway assets.From contracts and finance to statutory and legislative compliance, you’ll take overall responsibility for the strategy and management of highway assets. That will see you lead, manage, and develop the business and service plan for Highway Asset Management, including Street Lighting, Drainage, Structures, Highways Condition and Data & Systems Management services.Managing the interrogation of all asset data, you’ll provide recommendations and guidance to team members and other colleagues around programming a suite of preventative maintenance, maintenance, and asset replacement programmes so that all assets are managed cost-effectively and within budget. You’ll also advise on the delivery of highway asset management services, including legislative and policy compliance, health and safety, procurement, and contract management.Throughout, you’ll develop, implement and review strategy, policy, process, and procedure that provides continuous improvement right across the board, including contract management, street lighting, ITS, and data & systems management.You’ll be able to bring us substantial knowledge of asset management systems and approaches. In addition, your background will have given you expert understanding of standards, codes of practice and guidance relating to asset management, and an in-depth knowledge of health & safety and CDM regulations.We’re at a pivotal moment in Liverpool.
