Children’s ServicesUnity HouseSalford Civic CentreChorley RoadSwintonSalfordM27 5AWAdministration Officer - Commissioning & Partnerships TeamGrade: 2A - £24,294 - £25,119Working Hours: 36 per week - Core office hours are 8:30 to 16.30 however a flexible working scheme is in operation subject to the needs of the serviceContract Type: PermanentWorking Location: The main team are based on the Civic Centre campus but staff are able to work from various locations and from home.Due to the progression of the existing post holder, an opportunity has become available within the Commissioning & Partnerships Team for an Administration Officer.The primary purpose of this role is to offer a comprehensive support service to managers and officers in the Children’s Services and Skills and Work Commissioning Teams, the Customer First Team, SIASS (Salford Information Advice and Support Service) and Salford Futures.This includes but is not limited to:· Arranging meetings and events including room and refreshment booking, inviting attendees, preparation and distribution of agendas, setting up equipment· Attending meetings and events including meeting attendees, producing and distributing notes/minutes and following up actions as appropriate.· Managing Outlook Calendars and Inboxes· Collating and photocopying documents· Recording information in databases including MS Excel, CAMS and EMS· Interrogating databases to produce reports· Scanning documents· Ordering and monitoring the allocation and use of stationery, bus passes and gift vouchersThe successful candidate will be expected to:· manage their own workload ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and targets are met within agreed timescales· have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to relate positively with colleagues and senior management employed by Salford City Council and partners· have experience in taking notes / minutes at meetings· have experience of working with MS Software packages including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.About your benefitsYou will be welcomed into a friendly environment where your personal and professional development will be encouraged and you will have the opportunity to work and grow in a values based organisation where people are at the heart of everything we do.
