With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Our Rail Eastern sector is currently seeking a Primavera P6 Planner to join their York team in managing the delivery of several key projects to time, quality, budget and health and safety targets. Reporting to the Rail Planning Lead, the role comprises all aspects of the management and delivery of project programmes covering projects on and individual or portfolio basis. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of project programmes in compliance with best practice and rail industry standards.In Engineering, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together.We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.Role accountabilities:You will be involved in creating customized project work breakdown structures (WBS) tailored to client needs and project complexity, while ensuring compliance with program control best practices. Managing detailed contract schedule with resources and costs is crucial for meeting project deadlines. Verifying planning information for accuracy from various sources within the project team is essential. Monitoring and reporting on actual project performance against the plan, forecasting outcomes, and identifying critical path issues are key responsibilities. Providing support to the Project Manager for resource allocation decisions and generating concise summary reports for review are also vital tasks.Qualifications & Experience:
  • Conversant in the use of Primavera P6 including but not limited to logic linking, progress updating, cost and resource loading and reporting.
  • Familiar with contractual programme administration requirements.
  • Experience in identifying the impact of project change on design and construction programmes and communicating such impact to the client.
  • Ability to assist the project and commercial manager in negotiations to agree impact of project change.
  • Familiar with working with Design Engineers and understanding their terminology.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Can work and act independent of daily instructions i.e. self-motivated and self-managing.
