- Healthcare Protocols and API Integration:
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in medical device integration, HL7, ASTM protocols, API development, JavaScript, and Cerner Command Language (CCL).
- 1-2 years' of technical troubleshooting and problem-solving experience
- 1-2 years' experience with medical devices such as anesthesia carts, physiological monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and/or laboratory analyzers.
- 1-2 years' experience of application of basic networking principles
- Programming Languages:
- Utilize expertise in JavaScript to help in troubleshooting user interfaces.
- Leverage Cerner Command Language (CCL) for development within Cerner's healthcare information technology environment.
- Database and OS:
- Good understanding of relational databases and SQL queries to help in generating reports and support integration requirements.
- 1-2 years Hands-on experience in Linux and Windows operating systems to investigate and troubleshoot integration issues.
- Applications:
- 2-3 years' experience working with Millennium software, CareAware, iBus, or other comparable clinical or medical technology software.
- Security and Compliance:
- Understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
- Soft skills:
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving technologies.
- Managing multiple work assignments and establishing client relationships with the goal of achieving high level client satisfaction.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including a high level of comfort interacting with clinical, IT, and biomedical equipment staff up to the mid-manager level.
- 2 years' experience of client consulting experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Education:
- At least 6 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Healthcare, Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field of study, or relevant, equivalent work experience.
- Design and implement solutions for seamless integration of medical devices with our systems.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and device manufacturers to ensure successful implementation and data exchange.
- Support clients through regular project events, testing calls, status meetings, and conversion support.
- Implement best practices, advise on optimal end-user workflows.
- Troubleshoot device integration issues, assess risk and mitigate findings throughout client engagements in partnership with engagement management.
- Consult with clients and internal project teams on technical architecture decisions to deploy integrated hardware, software, and devices. This could include but not limited to integration of lab analyzers, anesthesia systems, patient monitoring, respiratory ventilators, infusion pumps.
- When necessary, escalate issues to Engineering and Support Management while providing guidance to internal stakeholders in areas of product expertise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance protocol and API implementation and optimize data exchange processes.
- Troubleshoot existing API interfaces and resolve related integration issues.
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures.
