(Junior) Underwriter MENA & Indian Subcontinent (100%) – 27632

• Support the regional managers in the design of the overall market as well as by client/LoB strategy within the UW Planning process and its efficient execution
• Underwrite treaty P&C business in MENA and Indian Subcontinent, in accordance with UW and Pricing Guidelines
• Assist in continuing to build-up a technically sound portfolio and undertake all measures to safeguard profitability
• Assess existing portfolio and potential new opportunities while identifying deal risks and its drivers

• University degree in a relevant subject or a comparable recognised Post graduate degree in Insurance/Reinsurance (ACII or other local equivalent)
• Proficient and effective knowledge of MS-Office products, especially Excel
• Language skills: very good command of English is a prerequisite. Additional language(s), especially French, Arabic or Hindi would be a distinct advantage

• Minimum three years of relevant reinsurance underwriting, preferably in the MENA or Indian Subcontinent region, or other relevant industry-related experience
• Familiarity with pricing and NatCat modeling basics is welcome
• Good negotiation and communication skills to deal with business partners and internal stakeholders
