Associate Director, Business Development - Travel

- Identify, qualify, and secure profitable business opportunities by cultivating relationships with travel industry professionals, including OTA's, airlines and car rental companies
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key potential partners in the travel industry to enhance business growth. Negotiate and close agreements with new partners while ensuring alignment with CG's KPI's and strategic objectives
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, business opportunities, and competitive threats within the travel protection sector. Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and achieve sales targets
- Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients which create value and highlight the unique value proposition of CG
- Work cross-functionally with partner services (account management), insurance, EMEA Partnerships teams, marketing, tech, finance, legal, and risk management to deliver the best of Cover Genius to our partners and end consumers
- Gather client feedback and market intelligence to inform product development and innovation, ensuring our offerings remain competitive and aligned with market needs
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics using CRM such as Hubspot, adjusting strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets
- 5 or more years of experience in sales, strategic partnerships and business development in digitally driven business
- Experience executing B2B2C or B2B2B distribution models desirable
- Proven track-record for meeting and exceeding revenue targets and performance driven KPIs
- Demonstrated passion and agility working within high-growth technology companies/startups
- Successful track record with building and maintaining a strong pipeline, through to deal negotiation, commercial structuring and contracting
- First class communication skills, able to present, negotiate and influence at C-level
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional teams (Incl. engineering, product and finance) to deliver high quality outcomes to timelines
- Appetite and enthusiasm for working as part of a small collegial team that is not afraid of getting their hands dirty and supporting each other
