The Controller is also expected to partner with plant management, local management and foreign offices to ensure coherent processes and team approach, as applicable.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary Duties / Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Management of accounting operations including credit, collections, billing, payables, cash disbursements, fixed assets, and general ledger entries including designing processes and internal controls to ensure safeguarding of assets and accurate and timely recording of all transactions while simultaneously driving efficiency throughout the organization
  • Managing the monthly closing procedures in local ERP system including reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with company policy and accounting principles generally accepted in the United States
  • Working together with Operations to ensure accuracy of inventory through correct count processes and costing
  • Ensuring accurate and complete metrics reporting
  • Maintaining Fixed Asset ledgers
  • Responding to group and corporate requests for information in a timely manner
  • Assisting in the development of budgets and forecasts
  • Assisting in the completion of certain governmental reporting (income tax, property tax, sales/use tax), as necessary
  • Demonstrating trust, bias for action and entrepreneurship in daily activities and when communicating with other associates and departments

QualificationsQualifications
  • 5+ years of related experience as Controller or Assistant Controller in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for supervising direct reports
  • Cost Accounting experience preferred
  • B.S. in Accounting - CPA, CMA and/or MBA, preferred
  • Proficient with ERP systems and experience with analytical tools such as Excel and Power BI
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with sound organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities but also be deadline oriented
  • Willingness to be a part of a team performing whatever duties are necessary to complete the task at hand

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEA bachelor’s degree in accounting, Certified Public Accountants (CPA), and/or MBA, preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity; Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.COMMUNICATION AND SPECIAL SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as procedure and training manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate well with co-workers and other employees; excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels.
