It’s why we look for people who share our values of taking pride in your work, being ambitious and inventive, nurturing the people around you and collaborating as a team.We are currently looking for a skilled mechanical fitter to join us in Heywood working within a growing team.As part of this skilled team, you will have the opportunity to drive the success of an integral business function, which in turn, will make a positive impact on our organisation.As a Skilled Mechanical Fitter, you will be tasked with assembling patient critical equipment to the medical/pharmaceutical industry including a variety of isolators for chemotherapy drug distribution such as microbiological safety cabinets, rigid isolators (gloveboxes) , Laminar airflow cabinets and Fume Cupboards.As our Skilled Mechanical Fitter, you will assume responsibility for:
- Using static machinery, battery powered tools including drills and general hand tools.
- Working in a safe manner, achieving a high level of quality
- Notifying the team leader of any shortages in regular materials used
- To complete projects successfully and follow instructions from your manager
- Work with other teams to minimize delays and meet high standards.
- Assembling a full range of metalwork enclosure products manufactured by the company.
- Ensuring all test certificates and serial number logs are completed and kept up to date.
- Some travel to work at client sites across the UK, to fit and install the products.
- Liaising with the tradesman and contractors at client sites as required.
- It’s essential to have previous mechanical assembly experience.
- Ideally you will have a City & Guilds, NVQ 3 or equivalent (ideally time served).
- You will be required to travel to do ad-hoc installation work and will require a valid driver’s licence (company vehicle is supplied for work purposes).
- Experience in working with and understanding detailed drawings.
- Previous experience of working to processes and defined quality systems.
- Working to high levels of accuracy and standards of finish.
- To be able to work independently and as part of a team.
