We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant on behalf of our client who are an established manufacturing business based in HaslingdenSalary – £28-32k dependant on skills and experienceThe role would suit a candidate from practice looking to move over to an industry role or a candidate with all round experience in a company with a turnover probably less than £10mThe company are open to applicants looking to work anywhere between 30 hour and full time hours so slightly reduced hours wouldn’t be an issue or full time.You will be working closely with the Directors, Operations Manager and the wider team on a daily basis ensuring smooth running of the office and dealing with any client enquires efficientlyA key part of the role will also include the preparation and review of VAT returns and also Payroll for the team of around 30 employeesResponsibilities/Experience/Skills required:Strong bookkeeping knowledge of Sage and or other accounting systemsVAT return preparation, review and submission using MTDPayroll input experience monthly and weeklyPayment of salaries using online bankingStrong Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) skillsDaily, weekly bank reconciliation – purchase ledger, making payments to suppliers – raising of purchase offersAged debt management – logging of sales invoicesOpportunity to get involved in management accountsThis role provides an excellent, friendly working environment for an experienced bookkeeper / accounts assistant to own the role and to flourish and continue to extend their Bookkeeping knowledge long termIf you do not have an up to date CV and would like to have a conversation about the role, please contact Gavin Reynolds for an initial conversation about the role
