Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.Join us as a Sales Support Specialist for the Motion Business area where you will be supporting the Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area. This position reports to the Sales Support Manager and based in Paranaque City, Philippines.Your responsibilities
  • Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications.
  • Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries.
  • Preparing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and customers on complex product issues. Sharing best practices and lessons learned.
  • Preparing and checking technical articles for publication.Developing and maintaining new sales opportunities and resolving specific customer problems.
  • Ensuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries.
  • Ensuring technical and financial aspects of offers, including price and trading conditions, are appropriate.
  • Providing information for the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and participates in the risk review assessment as required.
  • Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers by leveraging general market information and insights provided by the Sales organization.
Your background
  • Tertiary or degree qualifications in engineering.
  • Fresh graduate or at least 1-2 years of experience in Tendering and Sales support.
  • Computer literacy and competent in using SAP (preferable), MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project Salesforce are essential
  • Good communication skills and assertive business acumen.
  • Able to collaborate within the broader business at a senior level
  • Advanced technical knowledge and commercial aspects of business
  • Experience in financial reporting, and will be comfortable tracking costs
  • Strategic and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and negotiation skills
