This is fixed term contract ending 31st December 2024This role is home-based covering Scotland, Northern Ireland and North England.For almost 75 years we have worked directly with disabled people to give freedom to live their lives the way they choose. Today over 4,000 staff provide social care to help over 2,000 disabled people across the UK.Offering high-quality care and community support, we also lead campaigns to influence the government to implement legislation. Working with a range of partners to deliver support and life-changing programmes, we help people with a disability to access quality learning and work, and to live as they choose.About the roleWe are looking to appoint an experienced People Advisor for North England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. You must have proven experience of delivering generalist HR support to managers and implementing change programmes. The successful candidate will be required to travel regularly across the region which may also include the need to stay away from home on some of those occasions.You will have good knowledge of current employment legislation and understanding of its application, including the management of change, consultations, redundancies and general employee relations issues. The role will also be involved in a Preventing Illegal Working Project therefore knowledge in this area is desirable. It is essential that you are an excellent communicator and able to prioritise your workload in a pressurised environment.We offer a wide range of employee rewards to include:
