- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on many types of vehicles while maintaining company and industry standards and adhering to time constraints.
- Carry out diagnosis, fault-finding, verification and road testing
- Ensure effective use of technical knowledge/skills enabling efficient, economic, and safe servicing and repair of the vehicles.
- Complete repair and service records/other appropriate activities the Team Leader and Manager required
- Analyse work orders carefully to understand a vehicle's condition, the accuracy of the diagnosis, and what work has been agreed.
- MOT testing (not essential) and application of all regulatory matters
- Assisting procurement, supplier contracts and trade relationships
- Assisting procurement best in practice, in terms of value and quality and deliverables
- Assisting parts managements and returns
- Assisting customer management including complaint management
- Maintaining service areas and workshop cleanliness and safety
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification
- Previous experience ; ideally a minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues
- Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service
- Share sense of personal pride, be reliable, conscientious and have an eye for detail, efficiency and timelines
- Quality assurance
- Organisational skills, and work well under pressure
- Knowledge of the Motor Trade
- To work diligently and without constant supervision to high standard, plus ability to use initiative where necessary
- Full UK driving licence
