The interaction engineering company.Founded in 2004, RE:Lab is now a leader in the design, development, and evaluation of Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).Our company’s culture is User-Centred and User-Experience driven.We help machines to help humans.Our aim is to improve the relationship between people and technologies in order to make the products and services of our customers reach higher levels of quality and competitiveness.Designers, Human Factor experts, and engineers work side by side to achieve the most suitable interaction with a technological solution – either visual, physical, vocal, or gestural.In doing that, we can count on consolidated expertise in interaction and visual design, ergonomics, and human factors, as well as on SW, FW, and HW development for HMI.To strenghten our amazing and passion-driven team, we are looking for a talented persone that is eager to work on the development, testing and definition of processes and methodologies for active noise control systems in the vehicle cabin, with a focus on road and aerodynamic noise for the following areas:
  • Audio System Design
  • Audio Innovation
  • Technical Direction
Activities:
  • Model-Based Design of active noise control systems in the vehicle cabin.
  • Research on the state of the art of active road and aerodynamic noise cancellation systems to ensure acoustic comfort in the cabin and vehicle weight reduction.
  • Analysis of noise transmission modes in the cabin interfacing with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Interface with stakeholders with the goal of increasing company know-how through data analysis phases and lessons learned, virtual modeling of plant (cabin) and controller, and rapid control prototyping through development hardware and physical plant.
  • Support for the development of tools for audio performance objectification.
  • Execution and support for acoustic measurements in vehicles.
  • Execution and support for subjective evaluations of cancellation performance and support in defining objective metrics for their evaluation.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electronic engineering, systems engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Matlab and/or Simulink for Programming, Development, Simulations, and Prototyping.
  • dSpace and/or Speedgoat for Rapid Control Prototyping.
  • Knowledge of both Italian and English
Plus:
  • FEM simulations and analysis – (Comsol Multiphysics software.)
