GSL Education is looking for a skilled and passionate Humanities Teacher to join a dynamic school in Newcastle. This position involves teaching subjects such as History, Geography, and RE across different key stages.Humanities Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess and record students' progress and prepare them for examinations.
- Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of subject content and pedagogy.
- Engage with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participate in departmental meetings, parent's evenings and whole school training events.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE in a Humanities-related subject.
- Experience teaching at least one Humanities subject at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management skills and high expectations of all pupils.
- Ability to motivate and achieve excellent results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
