About the opportunityOpportunity for a Lecturer in Data Science to join of the University of Sydney, one of the largest mathematical sciences schools in Australia. You will also benefit from our supportive community of world-class mathematicians and statisticians.Your key responsibilities will be to:

contribute to in the development, implementation, and promotion of mathematical/statistical education programs at the School of Mathematics and Statistics
work and collaborate on teaching programs and research with Academic and Professional staff at the University of Sydney
make a significant contribution to the research, education and administrative endeavours of their school/faculty while building their reputation as an authoritative figure in the discipline.

a PhD or a doctorate in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
an outstanding track record of publishing their research in areas of data science, optimization, or applied mathematics
evidence of ability, versatility and commitment to teaching
experience supervising students
a developing knowledge and understanding of the key strategic issues in the discipline and higher education sector.
