Description of Work:
  • In alignment with ATB Wealth’s strategic goal of reaching $60 billion in assets under management by 2030, ATB Investment Management Inc. (ATBIM) has been identified as a critical contributor to this objective
  • Advancing Investment Management Capabilities (AIM) is a discovery initiative focused on uncovering functional and non-functional needs that will allow us to identify and ultimately select a comprehensive technological solution that will enable us to set a solid foundation as well as future enable our business strategy with scalable technology.
  • Once requirements have been defined, this effort will navigate through a Request for Proposal; assessing each RFP respondents ability to establish capabilities and services required by the business. Through this effort, we will identify and select a desired solution we wish to pursue further.
Requirements**Deep understanding of Private Investment Management, Dealer, Asset Management, Order Management is highly sought after**Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Technology, Business, and 3rd party stakeholders to confirm the problems to be solved, expected outcomes and project deliverables.
  • Lead Request for Proposal process and vendor evaluation
  • Identify and confirm project approach and engage appropriate stakeholders to develop detailed resource estimates and effective plans to manage the initiative.
  • Assign deliverables, tasks and activities and continuously monitor and control all associated resources, schedules and plans.
  • Report on status, risk management, budget/cost, success criteria and reporting as required
  • Anticipate and effectively manage risks and issues throughout the lifecycle of the initiative.
  • Ensure optimal communications within and across teams and with all project stakeholders.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis and ensure a strong and positive stakeholder relationship.
  • Provide positive team leadership and motivate those teams directly and indirectly involved.
  • Identify key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects
  • Ensures team members are effectively onboarded onto projects
  • Supports planning, preparing, and conducting of project delivery ceremonies
  • Reports key metrics to senior stakeholders
Relevant Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in IT project and program management
  • Project Delivery experience in Wealth / Asset Management is required
  • Experience implementing investment management platforms and/or portfolio management systems is considered a differentiator
  • Proven leadership experience in managing cross functional teams and mentoring junior team members
